Wrong Man Released From Jail After Impersonating Cellmate

Wrong Man Released From Jail After Impersonating Cellmate

Wow.

This story is pretty mind-blowing. Apparently, the wrong man was released from prison after impersonating his cellmate.

Surely, SURELY, someone would have noticed?!

Dustin Tyrone Thomas was released from the Genesee County Jail on Sunday.

You may be wondering how he managed it. Well, he threatened to kill his cell mate's family unless he handed over his ID bracelet and social security number according to a report from WJRT ABC12. Thomas even changed his hairstyle so it looked similar to his cell mate's.

Earlier this month, he was arrested for a probation violation related to a 2014 breaking and entering case. However, he's now also got 'escaping from lawful custody' under his belt as well.

He's still out on the run, however as he is the master of disguise, he could be anywhere right now.

Even so, if you are one of our American readers and have any information, you can call 810-257-3407, or even submit an anonymous tip call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.
