What do holidays and dogs have in common?

That's right, they're both fun, sometimes in France and, most importantly, they make you happier than anything else.

Imagine then the idyllic scenario whereby you can merge these two dreamy highlights of modern life.

In fact, don't imagine, simply BEHOLD...

OK, so now you must be wanting to know which plane to get one.

This paradise is situated on Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. It is a beautiful place made all the more magical by Potcake Place, a dog rescue centre which seeks volunteers to come by and pick up a pupper to explore the island with.

For the unacquainted, a Potcake is a Labrador Retriever, German Shepherd and English Fox Terrier mix, which as you can see, is a well cute combo. The breed was given the name because islanders often feed strays the caked remnants of food from the cooking pot.

There are hundreds of strays on the island and whole litters are often born into the wild. Potcake Place is staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers with the aim of reducing the numbers of homeless Potcakes.

The shelter ordinarily houses between 50 and 70 of the pooches and the charity helps around 500 dogs to be adopted each year. While all the dogs are available for adoption, those who just want a holiday fling are encouraged to stop by and take a dog out for a walkie.

A message on the shelter's website says: "Pop in, meet some puppies and learn some more about what we do. We have a constant stream of puppies needing socialisation and adoption. You can come by and take a puppy out to the beach - we'll give you everything you need, you just need to supply some TLC."

Now that right there is the least selfless volunteering opportunity going.

For the UK reader, you can get a one way ticket from London to the island this Friday for £795, stopping en route in Montreal and Toronto and landing you in the promise land 26 hours and 15 minutes later.

If you're Sydney based, it will cost you £1,064 ($1,946 AUD) and take 34 hours and 40 minutes and if you're from Lima, you can get there in 12 hours and 32 minutes and it will set you back £1,190 (5,142 Peruvian Sol).

If you're from anywhere else, you can do your own research.
