A little dog, thought to be dead after she was thrown from a roof in southern India, has been found alive. Today is a good day.

The original, heart-breaking video quickly went viral as animal rights activists and decent human beings took to social media to try and track down the dog-thrower and the camera person.

Understandably, after watching the slow-motion video, people assumed the poor pooch was dead. Until Karthik Dhandapani posted an update to Twitter claiming that the dog was alive. As miracles go, it's right up there, isn't it?

That never ending Wagging tail :heart::heart:

When she was found, she was unable to walk, but she's now getting medical attention for her injuries, and hopefully will make a full recovery.

Shravan Krishnan wrote on Facebook: "She was terrified, cowering under a stairwell and urinated when I picked her up. But, what breaks my heart is that she was still wagging her tail." Sorry...I've got something in my eye.

They've called the dog Bhadra, which means 'blessed' and she does seem to be.

Two students have since been arrested for throwing little Bhadra off the rooftop, according to the BBC. They initially left the city but the fact they've been released on bail has caused anger on social media.

If found guilty, they could face a maximum fine of 100 rupees, which is around £1.14. Activists would like to see harsher sentences for animal abusers.
