As we all know, dogs are the best.

Two of the main reasons why they are so loved, is because they are loyal and adorable.

These traits were perfectly exhibited in Brazil recently after a homeless man was admitted to hospital.

According to The Dodo, César was being treated for a pre-existing condition at the Hospital Regional Alto Vale in Rio do Sul at around 3am on Sunday morning.

His faithful cadre of canines accompanied him and healthcare worker, Cris Mamprim, noticed them waiting eagerly but patiently by the door.

Clearly, the sight moved her, and she shared a picture of the pooches on Facebook, with a message expressing her admiration.

César's dogs waited for him by the door at the hospital and they are well adorable.

She said: "A simple person, without luxury, who depends on help to overcome the hunger, the cold, the pain, the evils of the world, has by his side the best companions, and the exchange is reciprocal.

"Exchange of love, affection, warmth, understanding. A person who confessed to us that he stopped eating to feed them.

"I do not know what his life is like, because he's on the street, and I do not even want to know and judge him, but I admire the respect and love he has for seeing them like this, waiting on the door, how are you? Oh if everyone was like this... if there was no evil, mistreatment."

Speaking to The Dodo, Cris said it was clear the dogs were well looked after and fed, even though César often went without food.

She said: "They are all well taken care of and chubby.

"Seeing them like that, waiting at the door, only shows how much they are cared for and loved."

Evidently though, the hearts of the staff were melted by the doggy doorway lingerers, and they allowed the pups in to see César after around an hour. They also gave César some grub.

Cris said: "Believe me, he ate some and saved a bit to give the dogs later."

Happily, César was safely discharged and was allowed to leave with his gang later that morning. Though he could be mistaken for thinking he had died and gone to heaven with those cuties for company.
