Man Proposed To His Girlfriend Written On The Side Of A Cow

Curlytop was a huge help when the 'steaks' were high for Chris when he proposed

There are so many creative ways people can propose - hot air balloons, written on a sandy beach, but how about on the side of a cow?

No? Me either, well, I've seen that one featured in an episode of The Simpsons, but not used for real.

Chris Gospel decided to propose to his girlfriend by writing 'will you marry me' on the side of, not just any cow, but, her favourite cow, Curlytop, which I guess makes all the difference.

Chris got down on one knee, in a field in Strichen, Aberdeenshire, after Eilidh Fraser finished reading the message on her boveine companion.

The steaks were high but Eilidh said yes to the romantic gesture (sorry).

And, this might not be the only time Curlytop will feature in the pair's special moment.

Chris told the BBC Scotland news website that when the time comes to pick a wedding venue they plan to check the animal policy so that they could potentially bring Curlytop along. Well, it's only right given the cow played such a major part in the proposal.

He said: "Curlytop is Eilidh's favourite cow.

"She is around the cows most nights so I managed to write the proposal, and then said we should go down and see her after she got back from work.

"Curlytop came up to us and Eilidh said 'what have you done?'

"Eilidh turned round and I went down on one knee - and she said yes."

His new 30-year-old laboratory worker fiancée - who hand-fed Curlytop and described her as being affectionate ever since - said the proposal came as a "complete surprise".

This was a sweet proposal thankfully, went right.

Some proposals don't quite go to plan - earlier this month a couple completely had the limelight stolen from them when their little boy decided that during his parent's proposal would be the best time to relieve himself.

The three-year-old made the executive decision to drop his pants and take a whiz as the proposing fiancé was down on one knee to his would-be fiancée. Talk about pissing all over the moment, Owen.

And who said romance is dead?
