People Are Covering Their Dogs' Testicles In Glitter For Some Reason

Exactly why is anyone's guess...

Just when you think the world can't get any worse, here's the news that some dog owners are decorating their pets' testicles with glitter.

Seriously, what the fuck? Isn't the world terrifying and confusing enough without walking down the road and being confronted by a dog with a sparkly gold ballbag?

According to Distractify, this trend - whereby people must have to get to grips with their dog's bollocks to decorate them - was first seen at the Royal Paws Pet Salon in High Point, North Carolina.

That suggests that people are putting glitter on the genitals of other people's dogs. Is that worse, or better? It's really hard to say.

Goddammit people.

Luckily, the salon that brought this disturbing and frankly deviant behaviour to the attention of the world at large has some sense and won't be offering such a service.

In a Facebook post, the salon said: "I just thought I would let everybody know the latest creative grooming trend is glitter balls! Please know that I love doing creative, but I will NOT be doing this. Posting for your entertainment."

This was posted on 24 January alongside a whole host of pictures proving that this actually is a thing. Either that, or it's a top piece of trolling.

Naturally, a lot of people are very concerned about this practice, and with good reason too. However, we are assured that the glitter used is edible and stuck on with corn syrup. That means that at least no dogs were harmed in the making of this abomination.

We all know how much dogs like to lick their own bollocks.

Just...stop it, already.

As ever, there are a wide range of opinions on the Internet about whether this is a good thing or not. Obviously, some people think it's great while others think it is borderline animal abuse, and others still are on hand to reply with things like 'animal abuse? Get a grip'.

You know how the Internet works by now, right?

One person commented: "People saying this is animal abuse must not know the true meaning of animal abuse.

"The animal isn't harmed, they aren't neglected, actually it's the complete opposite since it's part of a grooming service. Now, is it disturbing? Absolutely.

"Harmful to the animal? No. They use sticky corn syrup and edible cake glitter."

Oddly enough, this feels like maybe the least bizarre take on the whole thing. That's because you have to sift through the hundreds of people asking if they can do a similar thing to their boyfriend or - heaven forfend - themselves.

Fucking hell, people.
