Slithering creatures no doubt give most of us the creeps, so it takes a brave soul to make a career out of catching dangerous creatures like snakes.

But one professional snake catcher in Australia has made his most 'monster' catch yet as he captured a six-foot-long eastern brown snake on his third attempt.

Jarrod Bingham, of Reptile Relocations in Victoria, was called out to capture the deadly snake after it was spotted in a backyard in Rockbank, west of Melbourne.

Bingham said the snake was the biggest he'd encountered in his ten year career as a reptile wrangler. This must be the sort of moment the guy lives for.

Jarrod was called onto the scene after a next door neighbour noticed the snake slithering underneath a fence and vanishing out of sight. Bet that was a bit concerning.

Catching the snake proved to be a challenge, as Jarrod tried his best to coax it out of his hidey-hole and into his bag before it escaped in the garden where it was naturally camouflaged.

After three attempts, the snake catcher finally managed to catch the snake using a squeegee he used to trap the snake on the floor. I don't know about you, but I'd be bricking it.

Bingham said that the snake was 'easily' the biggest he'd come across in his ten years working in reptile relocations.

"It was easily pushing six-foot. It's probably the biggest snake I've caught in my career. The residents were over the moon when I was able to finally catch it," he told Yahoo7.

In the footage of the capture, you can see terrified residents watching on - from a distance, obviously - as Jarrod attempted to subdue the snake.

To its credit, the snake put up a good fight as it continued to try to wriggle free from its bag, which Jarrod struggled to carry away.

Jarrod had sympathy for his beaten foe though, eventually feeding the snake water to cool it down after he caught it. What a gentleman.

"Capture of a monster... The bar has been raised... What a snake," Mr Bingham said of his day's work.

Amazingly, alongside his snake-wrangling duties Jarrod is also a local government councillor for Moorabool Shire Council.

He'll even be running as an Independent candidate for state government elections at the end of the year, turning his attention to 'catching those snakes out in parliament', he said.

Considering how Jarrod handled this beast of a snake, we can see him taming wriggling politicians with ease.
