Frank Lampard and wife Christine have announced their expecting their first child together.
The former footballer, 39, shared the news on his Instagram posting a snap of him, Christine and his two daughters, Luna, 12 and Isla, 10.
The post was captioned: "We have some exciting news we wanted to share with you. The Lampard family is growing!
"My gorgeous wife @christinelampard is pregnant and we all couldn't be happier!!!"
Christine shared the same image with the caption: "The Lampard family are expanding!! I feel SO excited, nervous and grateful! The list of emotions is endless."
The TV presenter has previously spoken about the prospect of having children, saying that it's something she was constantly quizzed about, but that if it 'happens, it happens'.
And speaking to the Mail on Sunday's You magazine last July, Christine said: "I'm not one of those women who was thinking about babies at the age of 18, and when I first met Frank it wasn't on the agenda. If it happens, it happens, but right now all is well in my world as it is."
"There are some things you cannot control and life is about being happy with what you have.
"I am always being asked when I am going to have a baby. Everyone seems to be fascinated by my body clock.
"As far as I am concerned, my attitude is that I will wait and see what happens. I'm not pushing myself. I'm not getting stressed or unhappy. I'm a believer in what will be will be."
Since sharing their news on social media, the happy couple - who have been together six years - have been inundated with congratulations and well wishes from fans and celebrity pals.
The pair are yet to reveal if they're due to date or if they're expecting a boy or girl yet.
A source close to the family told The Sun: "The family are very excited about this news.
"Frank told the girls on Monday and although they don't know the sex of the baby the girls are working on names."
