Mia Khalifa has opened up about her career in porn, saying she earned $12,000 (£9,950) throughout her brief time in the industry, which she was directly part of for three months.
In an interview, which she posted on Twitter, the former porn star has said that the industry is much less lucrative than people would like to believe.
The description for the video on YouTube reads: "In 2014 Mia Khalifa made world news when she received death threats from ISIS after appearing in an adult film wearing a hijab."

It continues: "For the first time ever, Mia sits down with Megan Abbott to tell her story."
The infamous hijab scene - which was still getting Mia ISIS threats in August 2018 - is what made Khalifa finally decide to leave the business.
She explained: "The turning point, of course, was when I did the hijab scene," she said. "That is when the ISIS death threats came in, all of the news broke out - globally. Not just in America. It was trending on Twitter, it was all over the news.

"I was banned from a handful of countries...Egypt...Afghanistan...Very Muslim countries were deeply offended by it - and I'm Catholic. So to me it wasn't, 'Oh yeah, this is bad.' What I actually said when they proposed the scene to me, and this is verbatim, was: 'You motherf***ers are going to get me killed.'"
People hit back at Mia following the tweet, but she stood her ground, detailing how each video paid her around $1,000 (£829).
As she is completely within her rights to do, she defended her decisions from the past and also her reasons for changing her life - with a bit of Mia sass added for good measure.
