Oscar-winning actor Rami Malek has been on a serious hot streak recently - most famously for his Oscar-winning portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody and for his starring role in the critically-acclaimed USA drama Mr.Robot.

And with the LA-born actor set to star as the latest Bond villain in the upcoming No Time To Die, it looks as if his star power is set to rise even higher.

But behind-the-scenes, what's really fascinated people is that the 40-year-old actor has an identical twin brother, the aptly named Sami Malek.

Yep, it's true.

But whereas Rami has gone on to conquer Hollywood and shows no signs of slowing down, his brother Sami has instead opted for a more quiet life out of the spotlight, choosing to pursue a career in education.

Despite admitting that they 'don't look alike as much as we used to', during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel in 2015, the actor revealed that the two of them often used to take advantage of having a doppelganger and would occasionally pull the ol' switcheroo whenever one of them needed a favour.

One such incident occurred when Sami was a student at UCLA.

After needing some more credits in order to pass a class, Sami decided that reciting a monologue from a Greek tragedy was the way to do it. Simple enough - except he couldn't act.

Fortunately though, he had a brother who could and as Rami explained to Kimmel:

"He [Sami] calls me one day and goes, 'Hey, do you know a Greek monologue from a Greek tragedy?'

''Yeah, of course, I've just been doing this for four years. He goes, 'Listen, I need you to come down to my university' - I need you to do this for my class. It's gonna give me the points I need."

"I go, 'Yeah I'm gonna get my points and we're gonna make this happen.'

"And I deliver this monologue in front of the entire lecture hall and I get a few [bits of] applause, people dig it. And I think she starts looking at me kind of accusatorially, like, 'Where the hell did you come up with that?'

"I told her, 'Er, it's just a hobby.'"

Needless to say, Sami passed the class, and today works as an English Teacher at the STEM Academy of Hollywood.

He still often appears with his brother at public events though, with the two of them being spotted together on red carpets or backstage at various glamorous Hollywood shows.

And honestly, when you have a brother as cool as Rami, who can blame you for tagging along occasionally and enjoying the good life?
