Catfish host Nev Schulman has been accused of 'sexual misconduct', according to E! News.
MTV has said it has suspended production of the hit reality show Catfish: The TV Show amid the allegations against its host and executive producer Yaniv 'Nev' Schulman. He has denied all the allegations.
A spokesperson from the network told E! News: "We take these allegations very seriously. We're working with Critical Content, our third-party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation and we've put a pause on shooting until the investigation is completed."
Schulman has denied the allegations. In a statement to USA TODAY, he said: "The behaviour described in this video did not happen and I'm fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth.
"I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions - but these claims are false."
The show, which began in 2012, is now in its seventh series and follows Schulman and co-host Max Joseph as they investigate the true identities of people in online relationships. Some turn out to be telling the truth, while others are revealed to be 'catfish', people pretending to be someone else online.

The series followed a documentary Schulman made, Catfish, in which he struck up an online relationship with a woman calling herself 'Megan'.
Schulman began a search for the woman before eventually discovering that 'Megan' didn't exist and was an entirely fictitious persona created by another woman. The documentary is credited with creating the term 'catfish' to mean: 'a type of deceptive activity involving a person creating a fake social networking presence for nefarious purposes'.
Schulman, 33, is married and has one daughter.
