For fans of Game of Thrones, April can't come quick enough. Forget Christmas and all that shit - it's all about that 8th and final series.

But to help pass the intervening months, how about drinking loads of Game of Thrones inspired whiskies?

A selection of eight have been released, with each bottle representing one of the Houses of Westeros or The Night's Watch. Each bottle bears the crest of the house it represents, and better still, it isn't just naff whisky - it's proper Scottish whisky.

Whisky distilleries from across Scotland have been paired with individual houses, for example Royal Lochnagar with House Baratheon, Dalwhinnie with House Stark, Lagavulin with House Lannister and The Singleton of Glendullan with House Tully.

As you can see from the picture, The Night's Watch whisky comes in a sexy black bottle.

The whiskies are available at Drizly and are priced between $30 (£23.50) and $150 (£117.54).

It really has been a great couple of months for Game of Thrones fans who also love whisky. In October, Johnnie Walker released a White Walker whisky.

The drink, which was inspired by the fearsome characters from the series, was specially crafted using two single Scottish malts and is designed to be served freezing cold - like the hearts of the white walkers.

Jeff Peters, Vice President, Licensing & Retail at HBO, seems to think Game of Thrones fans are thirsty for whisky.

He said: "We knew there was fan appetite for a Game of Thrones whisky and once we saw Diageo's vision for a way to collaborate together we knew the idea was perfect and the time was now.

"We're confident fans will enjoy sipping these delicious whiskies as they wait for season eight and beyond."

If you haven't seen it already, the White Walker whisky also comes in a very sexy bottle.

Now that is a nice bottle.

So it looks like Game of Thrones fans will be having a very, very merry Christmas indeed. Just don't let it go to your head when your mum crushes you at Game of Thrones monopoly.
