Hold onto your robes, tie a note to your owl and spread the news Harry Potter fans, because this winter a major landmark in London is going to be lit up by nine gigantic wands.

Warner Bros

To mark the release of the highly anticipated new 'Wizarding World' adventure Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, the 15ft tall wands will illuminate the walkway between Millennium Bridge and St. Paul's Cathedral every night at 6.45pm onward from 18 October to 12 November.

So if you're a die-hard Potterhead then why not hop on your broom and head down to Peter's Hill to catch a glimpse of the installation and take the perfect spellbinding Instagram snap while you're at it.

The wands will be instantly recognisable to Potter fans, with each one belonging to some of the most beloved characters from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies. It's the perfect way to get in the festive mood and keep that hype train running ahead of the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

The incredible installation is launched as part of the City of London Arts Initiative for public art in association with Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling's charity Lumos, which promotes an end to institutionalised children around the world.

It will run in conjunction with Wizarding Wednesdays, where fans can enter competitions in the chance of winning lifetime prizes and magical experiences each week in the run-up to the film's release.

And if that weren't enough enchantment for one winter, 'Hogwarts After Dark' is returning to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour: The Making of Harry Potter for Halloween.

This year's edition will run from 26 to 30 October and is strictly only for adults, allowing grown-up Potter fans the chance to journey to Dumbledore and enjoy smoking dry ice cocktails and a wizard-themed All Hallows dinner in the Great Hall. All this will be followed by an after hours studio tour and some insider titbits from the films' prop-making team. Sounds MAGICAL.

All in all, Potterheads have got a lot to look forward to in the upcoming months. Better get those wands at the ready and apparate your way to London, immediately.
