As we all know, the godfather of modern comic books and all-around good guy Stan Lee died yesterday at the age of 95.
He was taken on Monday morning to the Cedar-Sinai Medical Centre near his home in the Hollywood Hills, there he was pronounced dead, leaving a massive hole in the childhood and adulthood of many comic book and movie fans.
Since his death was announced, tributes have been pouring in from around the world of film, entertainment, and beyond.
Even rivals DC Comics paid special tribute to Lee, who was instrumental in making comic books and- more recently - comic book film franchises, into the commercial behemoth that they are today.
Now, the company that he dreamt into existence back in 1961 with The Fantastic Four has offered their special tribute to the man who made it all happen.
They shared a special video tribute on their Twitter page that showed Stan Lee speaking in 1968. It was accompanied by the caption: "Marvel and The Walt Disney Company salute the life and career of Stan Lee and offer our undying gratitude for his unmatchable accomplishments within our halls.
"Every time you open a Marvel comic, Stan will be there. Please join us in remembering Stan 'The Man' Lee."
During the four minute long video, Lee can be heard saying: "I've been writing stories for the young generation for the past thirty years.
"During this time I think I've learned a lot about what young people think. More importantly I think I've learned a lot about what young people are.
"We're going to try to present a voice that somebody will listen to. The voice is needed, we hope it will be ours."
What follows is a montage of Lee in all of his glory, as well as people from the Marvel company talking about their personal memories of Stan.
It's a touching tribute to a man who created a company that mirrored his own values and gave hope and excitement to kids and adults anywhere, teaching them that being different or weird was OK - something to be celebrated, even.
One voiceover says: "There will never be a world without Stan Lee. He's the heart of the Marvel Universe."
The video finishes on a poignant note with a silent shot of Lee, smiling, accompanied by the text: "Stan Lee. 1922 - 2018"
RIP, Stan. The Marvel Universe will never be the same again.
