Good news everybody, the second season hasn't even aired yet but a third season of Stranger Things has already been confirmed.

There are still two months until the smash-hit Netflix show returns to our screens and we can finally find out what happened to Eleven and if there will ever be justice for Barb. RIP Barb, taken too soon.

Teasing the new season in an interview with Vulture, the Duffer brothers, the brains behind the show, said: "Number two is always a bit bigger."

Fans of the show will be even more pleased to know that the brothers reckon there will be another two seasons.

"We're thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out," Ross told Vulture.

The next seasons are going to have a tough act to follow, what with the first being so good.

But Matt and Ross seem totally prepared for that, telling Vulture that they understand they can't just keep putting the younger inhabitants of Hawkins through the trauma of dealing with the Upside Down.

Matt said: "We just have to keep adjusting the story. Though I don't know if we can justify something bad happening to them once a year."

"They're going to have to get the fuck out of this town! It's ridiculous," added Ross.
