Deliveroo Is Selling Chocolate Dragon Eggs For The Start Of Game Of Thrones

No, they don't hatch into chocolate dragons

As you're no doubt aware, the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones will hit our screens this April. If you want to make your watching experience that bit more authentic, how about sitting and eating your way through some dragon eggs throughout?

Obviously, dragons aren't real, but the next best thing is surely three chocolate dragons eggs?

Fans of the show will remember way back when Daenerys Targaryen received three dragon eggs as a gift when she married Khal Drogo (played by hairy Aquaman star Jason Momoa).

After Drogo died, she took the eggs with her into the funeral pyre and hatched the dragons out. That's how she became the 'Mother of Dragons' after all.

Anyway, you know all of this already. What you need to know is how to get your hands on these white chocolate eggs.

They're going to be brought to your door by Deliveroo, should you so desire. The eggs are made of fairtrade white chocolate and will have been hand-painted in several different colours so they look every bit the same as the three eggs that appear in GoT.

If you want to get hold of them, you'll have to visit a special section of Deliveroo called 'The Hatchery'. Oh, and you'll only be able to get these bizarre chocolatey treats for one week, starting on 14 April.

That means that you'll be able to order them for the season premiere. Interestingly enough, they're not going to cost you all the gold in Westeros, either.

Each egg weighs around a kilogram, but costs only 80p each. They're 20cm high too. That's a lot of chocolate dragon egg for your money.

As with everything that's good, there's a catch. You've got to have a Deliveroo account in London, Leeds or Manchester to order the eggs. Anywhere else and you're out of luck, unfortunately.

A spokesperson from Deliveroo said: "Easter is coming and so is the final series of our favourite blood-soaked romp.

"We see huge spikes of orders around season premieres and finales and we thought what better way to celebrate hardcore fans than with these amazing scaly creations."

If you're based in the USA, you can at least comfort yourself in the knowledge that you'll be able to get a special Game of Thrones Oreo cookie. That's something, isn't it?

We're not sure exactly what marks the Oreos out as Game of Thrones Oreos, apart from the packaging. We'll have to wait and see, I guess.

The final season of Game of Thrones will arrive on Sky Atlantic in the UK on 15 April.
