Just when you thought Walkers had lost its way with its Brussel Sprouts crisps, the food manufacturer has gone and changed the game by launching two new flavours: BBQ Pulled Pork and Spicy Sriracha Sauce.

Meal deals will never be the same again.

Although we don't have an exact release date as of yet, Talking Retail reports that the new flavours will be available in single and multi-packs from next month. Oh yeah, and of course the launch will be supported by a campaign featuring the Walkers poster boy, Gary Lineker.

Andy Hawkswell, marketing manager at Walkers, said: "Brits love experimenting with flavours and our latest additions won't disappoint. BBQ Pulled Pork and Spicy Sriracha are distinctive and delicious new flavours that are sure to be a big hit with the nation's changing taste palate.

"With our leading-edge insight tools we're able to get a deep understanding of the flavours that Brits enjoy eating and talking about.

"With these two delicious new flavours we are launching in February, we've been able to create crisps that truly bring the tastes of the nation to life."

They certainly are on-trend, particularly when it comes to the spicy sauce flavour, which will be added to a long line of Sriracha-themed merchandise - the Sriracha Big Mac, Sriracha seasoning sticks and Sriracha lip balm, to name a few.

In a separate interview, Hawkswell said: "With Sriracha sauce sales growing eight percent year-on-year, these new flavours will help retailers capitalise on this growing opportunity. We are very proud of these new flavours and expect strong sales."

The BBQ Pulled Pork option also deserves a mention - but we don't really need to explain that one, do we?

Both flavours will be on sale from early February, with recommended prices of 69p for a 32.5g bag and £1.65 for a six-pack.

These two taste profiles have been at the centre of food porn for years now, so it makes sense that Walkers has chosen to convert them into a handy lunchtime snack.

Not only is the crisp maker set on innovating in the flavour department, but the company also recently launched a nationwide recycling scheme for its packaging.

The free scheme allows customers to either deposit empty packets at one of the public collection points or post them for free directly to TerraCycle.

In a statement on the PepsiCo website, Laure Cucuron, General Manager at TerraCycle Europe, said: "We're delighted to be working with Walkers to launch the UK's first nationwide recycling scheme for crisp packets.

"We hope other snacks manufacturers will follow suit, by investing in new ways to reduce the amount of packaging that goes to landfill and incineration."
