McDonald's Is Bringing Back The Smarties McFlurry

McFlurry flavours may come and go, but there are some that really stick in your mind - whether it's something seasonal like the Creme Egg flavour you sometimes see at Easter or something you've tried abroad and have been left pining after ever since.

And, in my book, it really hasn't ever got any better than the Smarties McFlurry. It's colourful, it's chocolatey and harks back to those halcyon days of my childhood, when Smarties genuinely were a staple of my diet.

Well, we have some GREAT news for you, as McDonald's is bringing this classic back to its McFlurry menu!

Yep, we spotted some rumours on social media and crossed all of our fingers and toes - before McDonald's confirmed to LADbible that our wildest dreams were, indeed, coming true.

Featuring Smarties and a delicious chocolate sauce, the limited edition treat is available in both full-sized and the recently-launched mini versions, costing 89p for the mini, £1.29 for the regular.

Lauching on 26 September, the delicious and sorely-missed treat will only be knocking about until 17 November, so you've only got a couple of months to fill those boots.

It launches alongside this year's Great Tastes of the World promotion, which sees a rotation of new products added to the menu.

First up is the French Stack, which will be out during weeks one and two and features 'Two 100 percent British and Irish Beef Patties, Bacon, Cheese, Slivered Onions, Lettuce and Garlic Mayo in a Toasted Garlic Bun'.

Weeks three and four welcome returning favourite the Swiss Stack, which is made up of 'Two 100 percent British and Irish Beef Patties, Bacon, Cheese Crispy Onions, Lettuce and an Emmental Cheese Sauce in a Toasted Lattice Topped Bun', while weeks five and six bring you the Brazilian Stack.

That one's got 'Two 100 percent British and Irish Beef Patties with Bacon, Pepper Jack Cheese, Red Onion Rings, Lettuce and a Creamy Bell Pepper, Chilli and Lime Sauce'.

Weeks seven and eight then see a comeback for the Big Tasty and the Big Tasty with Bacon.

Throughout the entire eight weeks of the promotion, you'll also see the return of both the Jamaican Stack ('Two pieces of succulent Crispy Chicken with a Spicy Jerk Sauce, Cool Mayo, Bacon, Pepper Jack Cheese, Red Onion Rings and Lettuce in a Seasoned Jerk Bun') and Nacho Cheese Wedges. YUM.
