McDonald's Reveals 2018 Festive Menu And It's Good News For Big Tasty Fans

Merry Christmas - and what better way to celebrate the season than with Maccies?

It's almost that time of year again: families get together to exchange gifts, old friends reunite, and you get to stuff yourself with as many roast potatoes as humanly possible.

But surely nothing quite says Christmas like fast food chains releasing their range of festive treats, and this year is no different as McDonald's has announced the line-up for this year's menu.

And there is a special surprise for Big Tasty fans across the country.

From tomorrow customers in the UK will be able to get their hands on the Chicken Big Tasty burger - but instead of the classic beef patty, the chicken version is made with two Chicken Selects, lettuce, tomato, onions, and two Emmental cheese slices - finished off with the Big Tasty burger sauce and a seeded square bun.

If that doesn't quite jingle your bells though, the original Big Tasty is also returning to the menu.

But no one goes to McDonald's and just buys a burger, do they? And Christmas should be no exception - so instead of your standard fries, you can also grab a side order of Cheese Melt Dippers, plus a serving of Festive Tomato Dip.

Altogether, this feast of Christmas joy will cost you £3.99 for the chicken version, while the beef classic is slightly more pricey at £4.29 - and you can add a slice of bacon to the mix for an extra 40p.

If your appetite is not quite sated by this point, don't worry. Maccies has got you sorted with the Maltesers Reindeer McFlurry, filled with mini chocolate reindeer, which will set you back £1.29.

The burger chain has also announced a new indulgent addition to its McCafe range, with a Millionaire's Latte - made with a large shot of espresso blended with steamed milk and a caramel biscuit flavour syrup.

Ben Fox, marketing director at McDonald's UK, said: "It's that time of year where we want to bring back favourites, but also introduce new twists to the menu. We know customers look out for them during this season, so we want to give them and unforgettable festive taste."

But it's not just the food that's getting the Yuletide treatment. Earlier this month, McDonald's released its festive advert, following Santa Claus doing his rounds on Christmas Eve.

With his reindeer hungry and lacking energy to carry on the journey, Old Nick spots a Maccies in the distance, and decides to fly by to pick up some carrot sticks to feed his flying creatures -hinting at the new selection of healthy Reindeer Treats (ok, carrot bags) available this year.
