You Can Now Get Limited Edition Crunchy Caramel M&Ms And We're Already In Love

Described as 'Milk chocolate (51%) with a caramel center (21%) in a sugar shell', they sound absolutely delicious

Last week I was on a hen do in Dublin - bear with me, this is going somewhere. It was a Sunday evening and the bars were kicking out, so we nipped into the local Spar to buy some booze to take back to the apartment. But it was past 10pm, and the shops in Dublin had stopped serving alcohol for the night.

To counteract that sinking feeling that comes with a night coming to an end, we decided to turn our attention to snacks - grabbing bags of each and every flavour of crisps (Ireland really knows how to do crisps, btw) - before scoping out the sweeter stuff near the till.

That's when I spotted them - limited edition Crunchy Caramel M&Ms, sat on a shelf all lovely and unassuming.

I stared at them - in exactly the same manner you'd imagine a drunk person looking at something delicious - but I'd run out of hands to carry anything else. Oh, and I was skint by this point, so I had to leave the Spar with just a few bags of salt and vinegar Hunky Dorys and Tayto Occasions party mix.

Thankfully, others have been less drunk to scope these guys out, and it turns out the 109g bags are also available in Poundland for just £1.

Described as 'Milk chocolate (51percent) with a caramel centre (21 percent) in a sugar shell', they sound absolutely delicious.

A summary of the limited edition M&Ms on the Kev's Snack Reviews blog says: "The caramel is a bit like toffee brittle or the innards of a Daim bar, with a buttery flavour that is delicious! I was seriously surprised how nice it was because I was expecting standard tasteless caramel, but it's actually the real deal.

"It works nicely with the chocolate and shell, mingling to create a creamy, crunchy buttery sensation. It's only for those who like super crunchy things though - granny would probably hate these!"

Awarding a solid 8.5 our of 10, the review concluded: "Overall, I reckon these will be very popular and wouldn't be surprised if they stay around longer than a limited period. Bravo Mars UK, these make up for the more uninspired (but still tasty) Hazelnut M&M's mix from last year!"

A series of photos of the M&Ms were also posted to NewFoodsUK, with the caption: "New crunchy Caramel M&Ms!!! Available at Poundland and spotted in Spar, they are really tasty! It's almost like Daim bar pieces are inside of the M&M so so good!"

Sounds like you need to be getting down to your nearest Poundland - or some random Spar in Dublin, apparently.
