It is a tale as old as time. Well, at least a tale as old as reliable broadband internet. As soon as something happens that captures the public imagination, people begin to ask themselves the question: "But, is there porn of it?"
Of course, Rule 34 states that if it exists, there is porn of it. That would explain why people are flocking to Pornhub (other pornographic sites are available) to see if they can't get their rocks off to some Wild West porn inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2.

Well, it must get lonely out on those virtual prairies.
This isn't an isolated incident. The exact same happened - and, indeed, is still happening - with Fortnite when that was just growing into the phenomenon it has become.
The difference being, there was no otherworldly battle royale style porn, it had to be created. You could safely imagine that someone might have had the idea of Wild West themed porno films before now.
You'd be right, of course.
In fact, Pornhub's fascinating insights team have reported that since the game was released only a matter of days ago there has been a 731 percent surge in people looking for their dose of olden time 'me' time.
They report that terms such as 'Red Dead' are on the up and up, as are more generic terms such as Wild West', 'Cowboy', 'Western', and 'Cowgirl'.
This is all since the game was released last Friday on 26 October.
Because the Pornhub insights team are hardworking, thoughtful - did I mention fascinating? - individuals, they've even created a handy (HA!) graph to illustrate the alarming rate at which Red Dead Redemption is changing the way that people - let's face it - gamers, get their kicks.
With these facts in mind, there will surely be porn producers rushing out to create new and bespoke Red Dead themed films. The market is there, and these guys aren't stupid.
Speaking of massive demand, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been out there winning rave reviews and enjoying huge sales figures.
Basically, it's the highest selling game that has been released in this console generation. Only Grand Theft Auto V sits above it in the all-time charts, and that is also a Rockstar Games endeavour. Those Rockstar folks must be feeling pretty smug right now.
This is all before they've released the online mode, as well. That will probably take it stratospheric once again (and once they get it right).
Hopefully the porn will be out by then, so everyone will have something to do when the server inevitable crashes.
