You're used to seeing Susanna Reid sitting alongside Piers Morgan nearly every morning for ITV's Good Morning Britain. The two like to have a joke, as morning TV presenters do, as they wade through the news and topics making the news.

But you'll see a completely different side of the 47-year-old when the network airs Crime & Punishment: Children Who Kill. The title is pretty self-explanatory, the journalist will interview people who have been locked up for murdering someone when they were just a kid.

"I have never been as distressed as I was filming that documentary."

She says the first thing she did after filming the episodes in America was hug her kids. To be fair, it would be pretty difficult sitting next to a convicted murderer and listening to them talk about the crimes.

Phillips says he killed his young neighbour because she copped a baseball to the eye and couldn't stop screaming. He smacked her over the head with a bat three times to shut her up, before stabbing her 11 times in the chest and neck to finish her off.

The series will air tomorrow at 9pm.
