There's A Conspiracy That No One Has Ever Died At Disney World

There's A Conspiracy That No One Has Ever Died At Disney World

A TikTok user and former employee explains why

A TikToker user and former Disney employee has claimed that nobody ever technically dies at Disney World. Watch the explanation:

There are plenty of bizarre myths surrounding the Walt Disney behemoth - not least that Walt himself supposedly had his head frozen when he died.

But another intriguing theory relates to the company's theme parks, suggesting that if a guest or worker were to die on the grounds of any of their properties, they wouldn't be officially declared dead until after they'd been moved.

If true, this would mean the company - although just on a technicality - ca claim that nobody has ever died there.

TikToker and former Disney employee Tom Cruz posted a video that put that theory back into the public realm, claiming to have a story from his experience at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando one summer.

In the clip, he says: "Disney story time - no-one has ever or will ever die inside of a Disney park or property.

"It is the happiest place on earth and you can't have your guests dying there."

And he has a story which he claims will back this up.

Of the day in question, he recalls: "It's super hot. I distinctly remember this day, we were helping people into the go-kart ride and there was a family and they had an older gentleman with them.

"It was super hot on this day, the guy collapses, boom, on his face and busts his face up. It was ugly.

"Of course, there was a doctor in line, he came over to help, we called emergency services.

"This entire time, my man was not breathing. They're doing CPR on him, trying to revive him, no luck. It's 15 minutes before they finally got through the park to try to help him out. They stretchered him out and kept resuscitating him all the way until the end.

"I was like, 'Man, this guy's dead, why are they still trying to bring him back?'

"And the manager's like, 'No one dies at Disney World, everyone is resuscitated or attempted into resuscitation until they're off the property, then they're formally declared dead.'"

An interesting story, for certain.

Unfortunately for tinfoil hat wearers, the wider conspiracy theory has been debunked - not least by a Florida-based injury law firm, which lists deaths recorded at Disney World on its website.

Meanwhile, fact-checking site Snopes has also listed several incidents in its efforts to bust this particular myth, including a 1984 plane crash in the EPCOT parking lot, as well as tragic tales of staff and visitors killed by vehicles at the resort.

So I guess we can put that one to bed for now.
