Still not booked this year's summer getaway? Look no further, you're going to Portugal my friend. Or at least you will be once you've read this article anyway.

That's because anyone that likes wine (and who doesn't) will be drawn to this little delight in Douro where guests can stay in an oversized wine barrel surrounded by a working vineyard.

Imagine waking up to that every day.

Quinta da Pacheca is a beautiful 280-year-old wine estate which has created 30 metre suites which include a circular double bed, private wardrobe and bathroom with walk-in shower.

According to The Sun there is also skylight windows and a private terrace (where you can probably have a tipple) as well as being kitted out with air conditioning and Wi-Fi - because you're not there if you can't Instagram it.

You might not be a wine lover (which is pretty weird in itself) but there may still be something for you because as well as having a selection of red, white and rose wine Quinta da Pacheca also has port.

Quinta da Pacheca is based in Douro which has been dubbed 'one of the most famous wine regions in the world' and a night stay can be booked from 190€ (£160) or 205€ (182) with breakfast included.

The hotel, vineyard promises 'an idyllic and romantic setting' with the wine barrels 'providing a unique experience of contact with nature and the monumental reality of the Douro Wine Region'.

They add: "Unique moments of rest await for you in an environment of rurality."

A vineyard representative told the Metro: "Quinta da Pacheca created the wine barrels as a bold architectural project of suites to reinforce the originality of the wine tourism offered at the site.

"In an idyllic romantic setting, these wine barrel rooms will provide visitors a unique experience to the nature and significance of the Douro wine region."

If the thought of a wine barrel makes you feel a little claustrophobic look no further because you can enjoy the same experience but from Quinta da Pacheca's hotel.

There is a selection of superior double rooms, standard double rooms and 'romantic' double rooms which are independent from the main building.

Who could possibly blame you if you didn't want to stray from the hotel? And for that very reason they have an on-site restaurant which offers a 'varied and tempting menu' with traditional Portuguese cuisine using the typical products of Douro.

Of and each meal is paired with Quinta da Pacheca wine, obvs.
