If you love the idea of bagging a great deal, but hate the idea of having to fight it out in-store with a hoard of bloodthirsty bargain hunters then Amazon Prime Day is for you. The mega summer sale will take place over two days and will give you the chance to snap up some of their best deals across a colossal array of products including tech, clothes and toys at a reduced price.
Unlike previous Prime Days, the fifth installment will last a huge 48 hours, giving you an extra 12 hours to peruse the digital aisles compared to 2018. There is one catch however. You need to be a paying Amazon Prime member to make the most of it. Read on to find out how you can get it for free and learn more about the event.
Amazon Prime Day 2019 will have plenty of tech at reduced prices.
When is Amazon Prime Day?
Technically it's Amazon Prime Days. It starts on Monday, July 15 and will end on Tuesday, July 16.
What if I don't have Amazon Prime?
If aren't subscribed to Amazon Prime then unfortunately you'll miss out on all of the deals on offer. So if you're interested, get yourself over to Amazon and sign up.
Once you're a member, you'll be able to make the most of Amazon Prime Day, get unlimited one-day delivery on eligible Amazon products and you'll be able to access Prime Video, Prime Music and Twitch Prime too.
How much is Amazon Prime?
If you're going to use all of the benefits that come with Prime, then it's well worth your money coming in at either £7.99 per month or £79 for the entire year.
I'll let you in on a little secret though... You could sign up for a free 30-day trial and cancel for free once Amazon Prime Day is over. You didn't hear that from me though, okay?

What will be on offer?
It'd probably easier for me to list off what Amazon doesn't sell instead of telling you what's going to be up for grabs over the two-day mega sale. The sale usually has a focus on technology, so we're expecting Amazon's own devices like the Echo, Echo Dot, Fire TV Stick, Kindles and tablets to be heavily discounted.
Jeff Wilke, Amazon CEO Worldwide Consumer says there might be a few surprises too:
"Get ready, as we pull back the curtain to reveal exclusive products, special performances and two full days of phenomenal deals this Prime Day.
"Our vision is that Prime Day should be the absolute best time to be a member - when you can enjoy shopping, savings, entertainment and some of the best deals Prime members have ever seen.
"Stay tuned as we reveal thousands of new product launches, as well as world-class entertainment and more, leading up to Prime Day on July 15 and 16."
