Grant Thompson who is best known for "The King of Random" YouTube channel has unfortunately passed away after a paragliding accident. This will come as a devastating blow to his 11 million followers who knew him as a passionate and enthusiastic content creator. Grant, a self-confessed thrill seeker, took off on a paragliding trip on July 29 and never returned home.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) said a report came in on Monday about an overdue paraglider who had gone off the radar near the Sand Hollow State Park. Reportedly the caller stated that the paraglider should have returned home an hour earlier, and he couldn't be reached on his mobile. This sparked a massive search resulting in the tragic discovery of his body.

Grant was found using GPS data and a helicopter. The WCSO said detectives found his paragliding equipment at the crash site and a recording device which they'll review to determine the cause.

A WCSO statement read: "Volunteers with the Washington County Sheriff's Office Search & Rescue and a Life Flight helicopter were requested to assist in locating the pilot. Dispatchers were able to obtain an updated GPS location of the pilot's cell phone. As the helicopter approached the area, they were able to locate the pilot's body."
