To those out there who live in fear of never having their fairy-tale wedding, let this story bring you hope.

Norah Witkiss has dispelled any misguided conceptions that it's ever too late to get married, having tied the knot at 100 years of age. Better still, she has been hitched to spring chicken Malcolm Yates, who is 26 years her junior - bloody Norah.

The pair were dating for more than 30 years, first meeting at a sequence dancing class in the 80s. Clearly, after three decades of dating, Mr Yates decided she was the one for him, popping the question earlier this year.

At the wedding in Prestatyn, north Wales, they paid homage to their shared love of dancing, with the soon-to-be Mrs Yates pushed down the aisle in her wheelchair to Abba hit, 'Dancing Queen'.

After the 30 minute service, the centenarian said the special day had been worth the wait.

She told the Mirror: "To be a bride? Oh, it's beautiful. It's absolutely wonderful.

"Of course it is worth the wait. I'd wait longer than that. There's nothing he wouldn't do for me.

"I couldn't do without Malcolm. He's special, very special."

Oh Malc you dreamboat, sounds like Norah is one lucky lady.

Mrs Yates, who worked as a maid and a cook at a golf club, has had two special days previously. The mother-of-one got married to Fred Cook when she was 18, but he died in the 1970s. She was then married to Bert Witkiss for 16 years, but he passed away in the late 80s.

Speaking of her longevity, Mrs Yates said the key is to keep active.

She said: "I've had a very good life really, I've enjoyed it.

"I used to go out dancing with the girls, I liked it, especially if a chap picked you up."

Former bus driver Mr Yates certainly seemed pleased to have picked her up on the dance floor, humbly admitting her moves were far superior.

He said: "We met at modern sequence dancing. I couldn't dance, but Norah was very good at it.

"She more or less taught me and helped bring me on.

"We went travelling a lot and would dance on holidays to Torquay.

"We liked the Cha-cha-cha the best. We're always out and about together."

Well ain't that sweet?

So ladies, remember - it's never too late to pick yourself up a toy-boy.

And men, remember - if you ever meet a woman who can teach you how to bust some modern sequence dance moves, you best put a ring on it.
