15-Year-Old Claims Parents Have Set Up Cameras To Stop Him Masturbating

Being a 15-year-old isn't easy. You want your independence, but you're not allowed it. All the while, grown ups tell you that what you're experiencing is the glory days, free from physical complaints or responsibilities.

Ultimately though, all you really want is to wank in peace.

Spare a thought then for a teen in Alaska, USA, who claims his parents have installed security cameras/WankCams in his bedroom and bathroom so they can make sure he doesn't fap.

The anonymous 15-year-old said it all started after his dad barged in on him having a fiddle and absolutely bollocked him... turns out his parents are opposed to any sort of sexual activities before marriage. Indeed, they won't even let him attend sex education lessons, which just sounds plain irresponsible if you ask me.

Anyway, having been reprimanded for his self-pleasuring, the teen later discovered an Amazon package containing indoor cameras, which his parents said they were installing to make sure he didn't think about tossing himself off again.

Rightly antagonised by his parents' Big Brother-style measures, the teen sought advice on Reddit's legal advice section (hence we get to enjoy this tale of excessive domestic wanking surveillance).

In his post, he said: "My dad barged in without knocking and started screaming at me. He and my mom then sat me down and told me I'm not allowed to touch myself.

"I asked my dad and he said they are putting them (the cameras) in my room and bathroom so they can monitor and make sure I'm not masturbating.

"I said that wasn't okay, and he said that I agreed to not masturbate and this is holding me to the agreement.

"What can I do? I'm 15 and think I should be allowed to touch my own body. This is embarrassing and destroys my privacy, please help."

Poor guy. The solution seems simple though really - wank in the garden.

Other Reddit-users sided with the teen in this domestic dispute, while also offering advice that is less likely to get you in trouble with the neighbours/police.

One person said: "Regardless of whether or not you're masturbating (which is completely normal), you need to have a reasonable amount of privacy while you're using the bathroom and changing."

This view was echoed by family law expert Jacqueline Newman.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said: "This is not a young child. I think a court would take it seriously what their rights are, that they're entitled to in their bathroom and in their bedroom.

"To lose your parental rights, there have to be some serious allegations and proof. To put this child in some sort of foster home, I can't imagine a court would see that as a better solution.

"I think there's just some serious parenting classes that have to go on there."
