Ariana Grande has revealed a tiny bee tattoo behind her ear in tribute to the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing that happened a year ago on Tuesday.

The 'One Last Time' singer was performing at the arena when an explosive device was detonated killing 22 victims, many of which were children.

And two days after the anniversary the 24-year-old shared a picture on Twitter of the back of her head where a small bee tattoo can be seen with the caption 'forever'.

The worker bee is an emblem for Manchester, symbolising the city's hard-working past. It became significant after the attack on May 22 last year.

The singer sent a message to her fans on Tuesday remembering those who were killed in the senseless attack and supporting the hundreds that were left injured.

In a post she said: "Thinking of you all today and every day I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day".

According to the MailOnline, Ariana paid tribute to the victims of the horrific event by attending a family vigil.

Her mum, Joan, indicated that the songstress was surrounded by her closest family and friends on the day, as she shared a picture on Twitter.

The family lit 22 candles on a grand piano for the children and adults killed when the bomb was detonated.

Yesterday we shared the story of a marathon runner who embarked upon a 67-mile labour of love to make sure those who died were remembered.

Filmmaker and keen runner Nathan Rae ran a course around the city of Manchester that mapped out a heart with the letters MCR in the middle of it in memory of the 22 people who were killed.
