Two newlyweds in Florida shook up convention when saying 'I do' - not only opting for a white bikini and a pair of dungarees as their respective outfits, but also rolling around in the mud after exchanging vows.

Jeremy and Ahrielle Biddle were married at Redneck Mud Park in Punta Gorda on 23 March, in a ceremony that took place on the bed of a pickup truck that had been decorated with a makeshift bridal arch.

While Jeremy donned a pair of denim overalls, Ahrielle ditched the traditional ivory gown in favour of a white bikini, completing the look with a veil.

"It was spring break in South Florida so the bikini had to be a part of it," Jeremy told the Metro.

"As far as the overalls I wore, that was me just wanting to yeeyee it up.

"There were a few people who stopped and watched but we had no idea it was going to go viral as it did.

"There's been a little bit of negative feedback mostly just stupid inbred jokes but none of it really bothered us at all."

In the video, you can see that after they exchanged nuptials, the happy couple then sealed the deal by rolling around in the mud together, with Jeremy scooping his new wife into his arms and carrying her over to a sludgy patch of land nearby.

"It's okay to step away from tradition and do things your own way," Jeremy added.

"A wedding is about the love you have for one another and not what any other c***s think."

Jeremy then scooped up his bride and took her to a muddy patch to frolic around.

The couple have now set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money for their honeymoon, with Jeremy saying he just wants to give his bride the 'honeymoon she deserves'.

With hopes to go jeeping in the Colorado Rockies, the duo are looking to raise $5,000 for the trip of their dreams.

The campaign description reads: "Since our recent redneck wedding has gone viral, I thought I would reach out to our fans to help me give my beautiful bride the honeymoon she deserves.

"We love all of our fans!

"We have so many years to come and millions of memories to make. We promise forever to each other and show all of our fans our future together.

"Don't forget to donate! We appreciate all of the support and hope to see you all with us on this amazing path ahead."

Congrats, guys... Here's to shaking up tradition.
