Prosecutors believe he killed the five-year-old after a 'dream trip' to Disneyland, and that a bitter divorce could provide a possible motive.

He was last seen alive in the early hours of April 21 leaving Disneyland with his dad, grandmother and auntie. He was reported missing by his mum one day later when Andressian failed to drop the little boy off as planned.

Andressian was later found passed out in his car in a park, doused in petrol and reported to have taken prescription pills, authorities believe it was an attempt to kill himself.

Officers said following the dissaparance Andressian had shaved off his beard, lightened his hair and began looking into travelling to a country with no extradition contract with the US, the LA Times reports.
