LADbible and People Just Do Nothing star Chabuddy G teamed up to bring back the Pepsi Max Taste Challenge recently, as the soft drinks giant launched its new campaign.

Chabuddy G, played by British comedian Asim Chaudhry, teamed up with Pepsi Max and LADbible for a new video that sees the failed entrepreneur try his hand at being a social media influencer.

He took part in a 'taste test' getting fans to compare Pepsi Max with other cola flavoured drinks, with them asked to say which they prefer. Last year's Taste Challenge saw 61% of the UK choosing Pepsi Max over its biggest-selling competitor.

The video itself is a tongue-in-cheek take on the social media influencer trend, and sees his character try (and of course, hilariously, fail) to become the next big 'hashtag influencer' on Instagram.

Naming himself Pepsi Max's 'chief tasting officer', Chabuddy G tries to take selfies with reluctant onlookers, with varying degrees of success.

At one point - in true Chabuddy style - he tells a fan that he'll even give him a tenner for his time.

The campaign comes ahead of the launch of People Just Do Nothing's first feature film, which will see Chabuddy and the rest of the Kurupt FM crew try to make it in the world of music.

The satirical video and campaign has been picked up by a variety of trade publications, including Metro, Campaign and Play As You Earn.

Speaking to Metro, Asim said: "Influencers just have to look successful, they don't necessarily have to be successful.

"Chabuddy understands that he is a failed entrepreneur but he thinks, 'if I can just look like I'm killing it then people will send me free stuff' - that's his kind of thing.

"It's a bit tongue in cheek because he is sponsored by Pepsi in real life, but this video is a comment on influencers and how nothing is really real."

Asim added: "It's very Chabuddy. Pepsi Max has fun, quirky, energetic stuff that they're about and it's similar to Chabuddy's character."

The video was a joint effort with Pepsi Max, Asim and LADbible's in-house creative agency, Joyride.
