A young couple say their kids' teachers and even family members struggle to recognise them after they both shed huge amounts of weight on a diet called the Cambridge Weight Plan.

Caroline and Ben Marshall, mum and dad to Imogen and Jacob, had always ensured their kids ate a healthy diet, but they would often snack after they had been put to bed.

However, a cancer scare for Ben saw them both turn their lives around with the Cambridge Weight Plan, which is a popular weight-loss programme for men and women offering participants one-to-one support.

Speaking to LADbible, Caroline said: "I realised that my health was being impacted because of my weight and I wanted to make sure I was as healthy as I could be for my children.

"My husband, Ben, had a cancer scare when he found a lump on his face which made him face up to the reality he was seriously overweight and other health problems were only a matter of time away. He wanted a long life with myself and the children so he decided to do Cambridge Weight Plan with me."

Caroline added in a different interview: "I'd always been overweight but after meeting Ben in 2008, we both got even bigger.

"I was a bit of a feeder and Ben gained a further four stone while we were together.

"I was a size 20 but after starting Cambridge in September last year, I'm now a size 10 and Ben is a size medium."

As for the plan itself, Caroline says: "It changed our attitude and approach to food and eating and made us realise how unhealthy our habits were and what we could do to change them. Also as our weight loss was rapid it motivated us to carry on and achieve our goals."

Since the couple's dramatic weight loss, Caroline has gone on to become a consultant for CWP.

"I love being a Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant," she said. "I get to help people change their lives everyday by improving their health, changing their eating habits and making them look and feel amazing - it's the BEST job in the world!"

However, through the Cambridge Weight Plan, the pair have lost 13 stone, winning an 'In It Together' award from the weight loss company.

Dad Ben, meanwhile, has kept his old XXXL jeans as a reminder of his former weight. Jacob and Imogen are able to fit into them, showing just how much he's changed over the last year.

Congrats to the Marshalls!
