We've all been with someone who's disappointed us in bed in some way. But you wouldn't normally shoot them over it - especially if they've paid for the pleasure of sleeping with you.

Marissa Wallen, 21, is said to have attacked the 36-year-old man at his home in North Everett while the pair were having sex together.

She is accused of stealing the man's wallet from his night stand after she shot him and ran from his house, believing he was dead.

Mark Barnum, who lives next door, told the local TV station KIRO 7: "I was stunned on Tuesday when the first detective came to our door.

"He said, 'Your neighbour was shot twice in the head. I heard what sounded like two or three taps coming from the wall. It was notable because we don't usually hear anything."

According to police documents, Wallen shot the man after she grew frustrated with his technique but "did not know how to tell him that".

The man was found "awake but unresponsive" in his home three days later with dried blood on his head.

The man was taken to hospital and a CT scan performed by doctors found two bullets lodged in his head. He has not yet been able to speak about the alleged crime.

CCTV cameras in the victim's house are said to have shown Wallen inside the man's home and later running down the driveway.

Wallen is accused of racking up more than $10,000 (£7,622) worth of charges on the man's credit cards after she stole his wallet.

Police documents state that the victim was known to hire female escorts and frequent a strip club in Seattle where he bragged about how much money he owned and his expensive belongings at home.

"He liked to kind of flash his money a little bit," said another of his neighbours, Erik Buxton. "It's what's going to happen - you're going to attract negative people along the way."

Warren appeared in court on Wednesday with her bail set at $1m (£762,026). She already had 13 outstanding warrants against her and a history of failing to appear in court.

Another person, identified as Jenner Matthews, has also been arrested in relation to the case after Wallen sent him money via Facebook using the victim's accounts.
