Five Guys Arrested After Brawl Breaks Out At Five Guys

Sometimes headlines raise more questions than answers, and sometimes they don't.

This particular headline falls into the latter camp: five guys in the US have been arrested in the US after reportedly having a scrap in a Five Guys restaurant.

That is, in essence, all you need to know.

Of course, brawls aren't usually cause for celebration, but you have to admit that there is something oddly pleasing about this.

The fight broke out at one of the chain's restaurants in Florida on Wednesday. The police said the cause of the fight was unknown. However, an eye witness said a cup was thrown and a door was slammed in someone's face, before the fight broke out into a full-on brawl, according to Fox News.

Two fully grown guys and three juvenile guys were charged with affray and processed at Martin County Jail.

It might seem a bit crass to make light of a violent kick off in a restaurant, but the police themselves were the first to highlight the funny side of it. Therefore, it's absolutely fine for us to take the p*** just as much as we desire.

In a post on Facebook, Stuart Police Department said: "Can you guess how many guys were arrested at this location on Wednesday?

"Early afternoon, Stuart Police received a report of a fist fight taking place inside of Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Five guys were involved in the fight, and those five guys found themselves under arrest.

"Three juvenile males and two adult males were charged with affray and processed at the Martin County Jail.

"The cause of the fight is unknown."

Whatever triggered the brawl, no doubt none of the five guys will have appreciated the significance of their fisticuffs as they traded blows. Had they tussled in Subway, or had one of them decided to keep out of it or another guy decided to wade in, this would not have made international headlines.

As such, it's worth taking a moment to consider the potential humorous implications of attacking someone in a particular time and place before throwing that first punch.

A crow in Sheffield recently learnt this lesson the hard way. Any other crow could assault people at its leisure without making the news, but this crow failed to consider before attacking people that his name, Russell, may draw more attention to his crimes.
