A man has been accused of dipping his testicles in a customer's salsa because he wasn't happy with the tip.

A video that was shared on Facebook appears to show Howard Webb, 31, dipping his testicles in the salsa and saying, "Oh, that feels good on my balls."

The Mexican takeaway was ordered in Tennessee, USA, and the delivery driver who filmed the incident can be heard saying, "This is what you get when you give an 89-cent tip for an almost 30-minute drive."

According to an arrest affidavit cited by WBIR, the video was recorded on 12 January and the salsa was ordered by a customer with a reputation for under-tipping. Webb was arrested last Friday and charged with adulteration of foods after the takeaway delivery service, Dinner Delivered, reported the video to police.

If found guilty of the Class C felony - which would require a jury to conclude he dipped his testicles in the salsa with the intent to cause 'bodily injury' - then Webb could be sentenced to three to 15 years in prison. He could also face a fine of up to $10,000 (£7,520).

The delivery service has also fired the unnamed driver - who had worked at the company since November - and refunded the customer's takeaway.

In a statement, Dinner Delivered, said: "These acts appear to be motivated by singular personal frustrations of this sole contractor, and are absolutely not reflective of the behaviour of the remainder of our capable and customer-oriented delivery force, or the principles and values of Dinner Delivered as an organisation."

Facebook user April Pennington said she reported the video to the food delivery service after recognising the driver in the video, but she claims no action was taken. She subsequently shared the video on her own timeline and claims it was only then that Dinner Delivered took action.

She told the Daily Times: "This is disgusting. I called Dinner Delivered and told them what was going on."

Webb has been jailed in lieu of $45,000 bond and appeared in Blount County General Sessions Court on Tuesday morning, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel.

His preliminary hearing has been set for 12 March.
