It's not uncommon for people to have a litle bit of rubbish in their car.

Maybe it's the odd Macca's drink; maybe tags from that jacket you bought and chucked straight on; maybe it's that bag full of clothes you've been meaning to take to Vinnies or Salvos.

Either way, it's never that bad.

However, Queensland cops in Australia couldn't believe their eyes when they pulled over a driver with a seemingly endless amount of rubbish in their vehicle.

The trash was piled so high and so dense in this person's car that they couldn't see out the rear or the side and his vision in front of him was obscured by more rubbish.

"The gentleman cannot see anything out of the car at all, it's completely blocked," one of the officers is heard saying in a video Queensland Police released as part of their investigation.

The force wrote on Facebook: "He didn't see this one coming. This driver's car was piled so high with clutter it was impossible to see out the side and rear windows.

"He was issued with a $311 fine and politely reminded when bin day is."

After uploading footage onto Facebook, it seems opinion is split on whether police should have handed out the fine.

"Police did what they had to do. I feel sorry for the person if there is a reason why but if there wasn't they need to account for their actions," one person said.

Some were saying that he should have been given a caution or taken to a rubbish tip and helped get rid of all his trash - but then there were also those who thought the fine was just.

Just take note, if you've got so much rubbish that you can't see out your windows then you need to get that checked out.
