“I made it. I have no reception. I’m gonna pass out,” he revealed in an Instagram post.

Group chats and email threads can get pretty bloody confusing at the best of times - but not least when you're not even supposed to be involved in the first place. Do you rudely leave the group? Do you silently ride it out?

Nope, you should do what Will Novak did, and absolutely own it.

Novak was accidentally copied in to a group email about a forthcoming stag do thanks to a typo in an email address. He didn't know any of the LADs, but he did know what they were planning for their mate, groom-to-be Angelo, who they'd be whisking off to Vermont for a skiing trip.

"Bring your 80's attire, ridiculous awesome get ups, etc. for skiing, ask yourself "What would Angelo wear?" one line read.

Rather than ignoring the email, as many of us probably would, Novak replied: "I do not know who Angelo is. I am a Will Novak who lives in Arizona. Vermont seems like a very far way for me to travel for the bachelor party of a guy I've never met.

"That being said: fucking count me in!"

Novak is from Phoenix, Arizona resident.

Providing the required details for the stag do (he wears a size L t-shirt, by the way), Novak awaited his response.

Eventually, his new friends replied to say they all agreed - no, insisted - that Novak join them.

Posting the thread to Facebook, Novak asked his followers: "So I ask you Facebook, should I leave my wife and 9 month child behind to go to a bachelor party of a man I've never met on the other side of the country? Because right now, I'm leaning yes!"

Reader, he went.

"I made it. I have no reception. I'm gonna pass out," he revealed in an Instagram post.

After setting up a GoFundMe page to help him get to 'the bachelor party of a stranger', Novak flew 2,500 miles to join the group on Angelo's Vermont-based stag-do, 80's themed night out and all.

"#AngelosBachelorParty was a big success!!!" he told people in an update on the GoFundMe page.

"No one died, or even got arrested! Though the other Will Novak did dislocate his shoulder whilst trying to 'shred the gnar'."

Novak also explained that he found out Angelo and his bride-to-be were also expecting a baby, so any excess GoFundMe fees that he didn't need for his trip would be going to the new family.

"Let's help start this new couple off on the right foot," he wrote.

Bravo, sir. You are the stuff of stag do dreams.
