Brace yourselves, LADs, because this one will make even the coldest of hearts absolutely melt, as it involves not only a 70-year-old pensioner, but also his adorable daily tribute to his late wife.

Giuseppe Giordano lost his wife Ida seven years ago thanks to an illness, but that hasn't stopped him wanting to spend quality time with her at one of their favourite spots.

Each day, he takes a framed photo of her to the beach, so that she can enjoy the sea view from the place where their early days of courtship were enjoyed.

WE KNOW.

He was spotted one day by a pizzeria owner called Giorgia Moffa, who took a photo of Giuseppe sitting next to the curious photo.

Giorgia then posted it online, writing: "A few days ago, I didn't know this splendid person. I only know that his was certainly a great love. I saw him cry and I believe that men like this aren't born any more.

"A big hug, dear friend, you are a great man."

Giorgia then approached Giuseppe to find out more about his incredible story.

Giuseppe and Ida apparently met way back in 1969, when he was 16 and she was 17. Their parents were unhappy about their relationship, as Ida fell pregnant out of wedlock, but the two married and went on to have another two children - staying together until Ida passed in 2011.

Giorgia said: "I saw him, and I was sure there was a great love story. Men like him do not exist anymore. I absolutely understood his pain and was very sad for him.

"I have also lost my two little brothers and a son of five months, so I knew what he was going through.

"I think that everyone in this world has at some point, lost someone special to them.

"So each of us has these moments of grief, it's just that Giuseppe had the great courage and dignity to show it."

Giuseppe told Giorgia that he took the framed photo to the same spot 'as a symbol of a love that does not end'.

Giorgia added: "He cannot be without her and he carries that framed image everywhere. he keeps it tight, like the most precious things."

Yup, this is EXACTLY what we needed to prove the world isn't all doom and gloom. What a fella.
