Piers Morgan claims he's been made a 'vegan victim' after the controversy over his response to the launch of the Greggs vegan sausage roll.

When Greggs announced the launch of their newest vegan option Piers called the company out on Twitter calling them 'PC-ravaged clowns' writing: "Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage."

It seems people weren't happy with the ITV presenters opinion on the matter, including various restaurants and food giants who rallied around Greggs.

This led to the Good Morning Britain host then claiming he was being bullied by various companies, such as McDonald's and Pizza Hut who responded to the journalist.

McDonald's posted: "Like our pals at the sausage roll place, we've been expecting you. Don't worry Piers, you can still get McNuggets in your Happy Meal!"

Then Pizza Hut decided to get involved, tweeting: "Here's a picture of our new vegan Pizza. Everyone tag Piers Morgan in it to ruin his day. Feel free to join in, @GreggsOfficial."

Piers, of course, had a response ready for the companies:

Even with his claim of bullying it didn't stop there - TGI Friday's UK hopped on for the ride, while apologising for being 'late' while advertising their new vegan burger.

A spokesperson wrote: "Sorry we're late to the party guys (holiday hangover!) but we're ready to roll from Monday. @PiersMorgan we've reserved you a table."

Many people have been enjoying the exchange between Piers and the food companies - one person tweeted: "It's the third day of 2019 and fast food companies have all declared war on Piers Morgan, as well doing absolute bits for the vegans god bless this year."

Another said: "Dear @piersmorgan, I have unblocked you just to tell you that Pizza Hut have a message for you...."

While a third tweeted Piers responding to his 'bullying' claim, saying: "It's called making a rod for your own back Mr Morgan. Enjoy the vegan backlash."

Some have even started calling Piers a 'snowflake' - how the tables have turned for the former newspaper editor.
