Footage shows Russian President Vladimir Putin testing out a sniper rifle - and, in a not-at-all-worrying-result, he manages three successful 'kill' shots. Erk.

Putin achieved hits to the head, liver and abdomen with three of his five shots, which the Daily Mail reports would have been accurate enough to kill. The other two missed the target, but we're guessing he doesn't want us to dwell too much on those.

He had taken to the shooting ranges at the Patriot park in the Moscow area on Wednesday, testing out the SVCh-308, a Kalashnikov-designed Chukavin sniper's rifle.

The weapon was apparently created by Kalashnikov Concern, which was the result of a 2013 merger between two Soviet-era plants, Izhmash and Izhevsk Mechanical Plant.

In the video footage, you can see Putin dressed in his black suit as he fires away, safety specs and ear defenders also in place - surrounded by some pretty hench looking fellas dressed head-to-toe in camouflage.

But they're not the only burly blokes he's been hanging about with lately. Earlier this year he was seen being pally with Conor McGregor, who reckons he's 'one of the greatest leaders of our time'.

McGregor was seen bragging on social media about his Russian pal, after he was apparently invited to the World Cup by him. He made sure to use the photo op to get some good snaps for his Instagram, posing next to Putin with a clenched fist.

Sharing two photos from his time with Putin, he wrote: "Today, I was invited to the World Cup final as a guest of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"This man is one of the greatest leaders of our time and I was honoured to attend such a landmark event alongside him.

"Today was an honour for me Mr. Putin. Thank you and congratulations on an amazing World Cup."

Needless to say, the controversial post didn't seem to go down too well with some of his followers, with many commenting to say that they would be unfollowing him.

One person wrote: "I adored him... stood up for him when he made stupid moves.. and now he's fucking supporting Putin. I'm. So. Fucking. Done."

Someone else said: "Greatest leader??!! Are you for real?? Go and educate yourself. Unfollowed."

Another commented: "Not following anymore, didn't know he could talk such bullshit."

And one other person wrote, disappointedly: "One of the greatest leaders of our time. C'mon MC Gregor you're smarter than that."
