Ric Flair has spoken out about an allegation of sexual assault made against him which has resurfaced in a new documentary.

The former wrestler was on board the infamous 'plane ride from hell', which is explored in a new episode of VICE documentary series Dark Side of the Ring.

In the episode, flight attendant Heidi Doyle alleged that Flair spun his penis at her and made her touch it.

Speaking prior to the episode's release, 72-year-old Flair said he knew the 'whole story'.

Asked about the documentary on Renee Paquette's Oral Sessions podcast, he said: "God, I've heard about it too. Just when things are going good for me.

"Listen, you put me on your podcast after.

"We'll see how it plays out, because I was there and I don't care whose name I gotta drop if the heat falls on me.

"I know who was where and what and who and what took place. I know the whole story."

The story in question is now almost 20 years old.

Chaos unfolded on a private plane in May 2002 as WWE stars travelled back to the US from a European tour.

The flight was delayed by seven hours, during which period the wrestlers had access to unlimited booze - and things really got out of hand.

Flair was accused of sexual assault.

In an among all of the fighting and hair cutting, an alleged sexual assault took place.

Flight attendant Heidi said: "I was in the galley... Ric Flair was naked in a cape only, and then he decided to come back to the galley to get a coke and then he wouldn't leave the galley.

"He had me up against the back door, and I couldn't move.

"I couldn't get away from him... I couldn't... I couldn't move. He was spinning around his penis and he wanted me to touch it. He took my hand and put it on him."

The documentary notes that Flair has always denied the allegations and a settlement was reached at the time between Doyle and the WWE.

Wrestler Tommy Dreamer played down the accusations in the documentary.

He said: "He could move his hips, twirl it and so his well-endowed penis spins around like a helicopter. So, hey, he's the Nature Boy for a reason, he's got a hammer on him.

"Ric Flair's not going to try to impose by force any sexual stuff onto anybody. He's just flaunting, styling and profiling, doing the Ric Flair stuff where everybody's going to laugh about it. But obviously, someone took offence to it."

LADbible has contacted Ric Flair's reps for comment.
