A woman from Saudi Arabia who posted a video of herself wearing a miniskirt and cropped top while walking out in public is now being investigated by Saudi religious police.
The woman, reported to be a model called Khulood, shared the short clip of her walking around a fort in Ushayqir on SnapChat.

The Ushayqir Heritage Village is one of the most conservative places in the deeply religious country. Saudi women are required to wear loose-fitting, floor length robes, called 'abayas' and headscarves.
After Khulood's video surfaced online, many people have called for her arrest for being in breach of the dress code of the country.

According to the BBC, one social media user said: "We should respect the laws of the country. In France, the niqab [face-covering veil] is banned and women are fined if they wear it. In Saudi Arabia, wearing abayas and modest clothing is part of the kingdom's laws."
Khaled Zidan, a journalist, posted: "The return of the Haia [religious police] here is a must."

Meanwhile, others have hailed the woman as brave and courageous in taking a stand against the strict dress code.
Fatima al-Issa wrote: "If she was a foreigner, they would sing about the beauty of her waist and the enchantment of her eyes... But because she is Saudi they are calling for her arrest."
لو كانت اجنبية كان تغزلوا بجمال خصرها وفتنتة عيناها .. بس لانها سعودية يطلبوا محاكمتها !
The religious police, the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, posted to Twitter to say it was aware of the video and that it was in contact with the relevant authorities to investigate the incident further.
