A man has been left with his face partially paralysed after being attacked by his girlfriend's dad over a joke about penis size.
Garry Field beat the living daylights out of Garth Murphy after his daughter made a joke while they were watching Channel 4's nude dating show Naked Attraction.
Jade, 24, mocked Garth's penis size and a row broke out - upon finding out about this Field took matters into his own hands and dealt out a vicious beating to Murphy while he slept.
Murphy had gone to bed after the argument and after Jade had allegedly thrown a mobile phone at him.
They had previously had a scuffle in which Murphy had admitted that he hit her twice as he tried to defend himself.
He told Maidstone Crown Court that he didn't stand a chance against his girlfriend in a fair fight because she is so much bigger than he is.
He said: "It was the worst thing to do because it was like a red rag to a bull.
"She went crazy. She ran up to me and scratched my face. I responded in defence.
"I hit her twice. I pushed her on the couch and said: 'That's enough.'
"It was 2am or 3am. I live in London. I thought if I go to bed she will calm down and everything will be OK.
"She hit me twice. I don't know if you have seen her.
He continued: "I am 11 stone, she is 14 or 15 stone. She is stronger than me.
"I was charged with common assault and pleaded guilty."
Once he was in bed Field charged into the house and started beating him - punching him in the face several times.
Murphy suffered fractures to his cheekbone and jaw as well as the facial paralysis that has left him unable to smile.
The prosecution said that upon entering the room Field shouted: "Hit my daughter? What the f*** do you think you are doing giving it the biggun?"
Once he'd finished beating him he is alleged to have said: "You are lucky the ambulance and police are on the way otherwise you would be f ** dead tonight."
Field, who lives in Cliffe Woods, Kent, was convicted on Wednesday of grievous bodily harm. The judge of the case Neil Cameron QC ordered a full psychiatric evaluation before he is sentenced in June.
Naked Attraction is a reality dating show on Channel 4 in which single contestants try to find a date by looking at six naked people.
