A woman has revealed how dirty a washing machine can get in a TikTok video. Watch video below:

TikToker @jojo_con82 starts off the video by looking inside the washing machine and writing: "I've lived in my flat for three years. This washing machine was here.

Whilst pointing at the washer, she explains: "I've cleaned it with the cleaners and also soda crystals once a month.

"I saw a video about using two dishwasher tablets to deep clean it."

She then chucks the two tablets in the washer as she unknowingly decides to give it ago.

Shortly after, shocked to see the result, she said: "Thought I would give it a try. Wasn't expecting much.

"How wrong was I."

After 10 minutes, a puddle of brown dirty water developed at the bottom of the machine.

After an hour the puddle turned into a larger pool of brown, dirty water and the mother concluded that she "will be doing this once a month instead."

Posted yesterday (July 28), the TikTok has already received 2.2 million views along with 66,300 likes with over a thousand comments.

Users were quick as always to weigh in with their own thoughts.

One user completely disagreed with the hack and wrote: "Yeah this is just the colour of the tablets."

Whilst a second user offered another potential solution: "Four cups of white vinegar on a 60 or 90 wash. Sparkling clean and no damage to the washer."

Seems legit.

A final user revealed how their personal experience didn't quite work out: "I put half a bottle of Fairy in mine, when I came back from shopping, I had bubbles coming out of my chimney."

At least their partner won't complain about them not doing the dishes.

Well if you happen to like your washing, I mean really like it, you can now by dresses for your washing machine.
