CCTV footage caught the incredible moment a woman crashed her car at over 100mph and calmly got out unharmed.

The dramatic crash saw woman's white car fly into a petrol station in Mississippi. In the clip, the car can be seen lifting up off the road before hitting a brick sign and eventually hitting some petrol pumps.

According to News4Jax, cops believe the woman, who has been named as Shelby May by the Clarion Ledger, may have been 'under the influence' at the time she lost control of the car.

Rankin County Jail

Undersheriff Raymond Duke, from the Rankin County Sheriff's department, said: "I'm being told from the deputy that worked the accident that she does work in the food industry, the food service industry, and she was coming from work and admits to having several beverages."

Crash investigators said the woman 'over corrected' while trying to avoid a crash, which, ironically, is what made her car crash - after going airborne due to the speed she was travelling.

Undersheriff Duke continued: "Actually a Rankin county constable, he was leaving a business near the service station. She had over corrected gone into oncoming traffic, nearly had an accident there with another vehicle, crossed back over and went airborne."

Miraculously, the woman was able to step away from the crash and appeared to be completely unharmed - but that was where her luck ran out, because she promptly arrested and charged with driving under the influence.

MS News Now reports that May was wearing her work uniform inside out at the time of the crash.

Undersheriff Duke said it was incredible no one was seriously hurt, adding: "She had an angel riding with her, that's for sure."

Shocked members of staff working at the Xtra Mile petrol station also told the news outlet they couldn't believe the incident wasn't much worse.

May has since been released on bail after posting bond - she is expected to make her first court appearance on 10 July.
