So, it's finally here. You put off all those lifestyle changes as you chain-smoked and bevved your way through December. But that's behind you now. You're a changed person. Swept up in the optimism of a new year. Of a thousand Facebook statuses declaring: new year, new me. Of a new start.

Sadly, though, I'm hear to let you know that special feeling you've got about 2018 could well be misplaced - at least, if the opinions of psychic Craig Hamilton-Parker are anything to go by.

Craig has previously predicted a number of major events before they happened, including Brexit and Donald Trump's victory, and he has now made some chilling predictions for the coming year. Watch him here:

His predictions include a failed attempt to overthrow President Donald Trump and a global flu epidemic linked to bioterrorism. Among the other world crises he sees on the horizon are: US forces striking North Korea by blowing up a key trade route, Kim Jong-un being overthrown by his own people, and the sinking of a US warship.

He also reckons we'll see a terror attack on a UK motorway and that terrorists will launch a chemical attack in either London or Berlin.

The Southampton-born psychic writes: "2018 will be a year of political turmoil and environmental crisis caused by dramatic and unprecedented weather.

"Many of the above predictions are pretty gloomy but I feel that there will be a simultaneous growth in spirituality for the people of the world that will now start to lead us into a Golden Age.

"Conflict and hardship plus growing environmental problems will bring good people together and ignite a desire to seek the true purpose of human life."
