US President Donald Trump is officially obese, his physician has revealed today.

Dr. Ronny Jackson, the White House doctor who also served the previous President Barack Obama, has said that Trump is healthy overall, but needs to improve his diet and exercise regime.

Jackson confirmed that Trump weighs 239 pounds and is 75 inches (6'3'') in height, giving him a BMI of 30.3 according to the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute. This would make him officially obese.

"He has a lot of energy and a lot of stamina," Jackson said of Trump, who is now 71 years old.

Trump's weight perhaps comes as no surprise as he is known to have indulged in McDonalds and other fast food while out on the campaign trail.

According to his former campaign manager Corey Lewandowsk, the President's go-to McDonalds order was two Big Macs, two Fillet-O-Fish, and a chocolate malted milkshake - let's face it, that'd make anyone overweight.

However, according to Jackson, Trump's changed his habits since becoming President, cutting down on his Maccies orders. Maybe he's started ordering a salad instead.

In addition to assessing Trump's physical health, Jackson also gave Trump a cognitive assessment, screening him for neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer's and finding him to be mentally 'sharp'.

Jackson told White House reporters that the mental assessment came at Trump's request, perhaps in response to recent rumours that Trump is secretly suffering from dementia.

Trump scored a perfect 30/30 on the test, according to Jackson, with 'no indication that [Trump] has cognitive issues.'

"He's very sharp. He's very articulate when he speaks to me," Jackson said.

Trump is famous for being tee-total and also being a non-smoker. The only medications he is currently taking are Propecia for male hair loss, one for Rosacea and a multivitamin, Jackson also confirmed.
