Boxing Commentator Says McGregor Vs Mayweather Was A 'Marvelous Scam'

I have some bad news for UFC and boxing fans, everything you have been led to believe is true about the Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather fight may have been a lie. It was a fix - according to Hall of Fame boxing commentator Jim Lampley, at least.

Lampley, a 30-year veteran of boxing coverage, claimed that Mayweather 'obviously' threw several rounds during the PPV fight and then carried McGregor to the 10th for show.

"Why should he retire? He created a marvelous scam with this whole thing," Lampley told TMZ.

"He allowed Conor to quote 'win' 3 rounds so that the whole global MMA wish community could have something to latch on to. I think there's a decent chance there's enough suckers out there Floyd could maybe make another $150 million, why not?

"It's all a set up."

A one-a, two-a, three-a, four-a, five-a, six-a, seven-a, eight-a, nine-a, ten... and that's a fucking knockout. There we have it, the biggest grossing boxing match of all time was a fix, apparently.

Not that McGregor will give a shit about Lampley's comments, he's been spending his hard earned (or not so hard earned, depending on who you believe) dollar on parties. Christening parties to be specific.

The UFC fighter posted a picture of himself last week, with his son and girlfriend Dee Devlin, with the caption: "Mac Land."

Conor McGregor Jr was christened in Dublin in front of a host of family and friends at one of Ireland's most historic castles. Guests were treated to a farm and funfair at the celebration.

The event was held at Luttrellstown Castle with entertainment including fireworks, live music and fire dancers as the evening wore on.

Dating from the early 15th century, the castle is located in Clonsilla on the outskirts of Dublin, Ireland.
