Conor McGregor Calls Mayweather A P***y After Shutting Down UFC Talk

True to form, Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s been throwing around a fair few conflicting statements lately. He was originally heard banging on about making a billion dollars if he fought in the UFC, before UFC President Dana White said that, actually, they were in talks about Mayweather coming in.

Okay, fair enough, except that then Mayweather decided to backtrack on all of that, saying, "I'm not going to do it" - only for Conor McGregor to simply call him a pussy.

In an interview with FightHype, Mayweather claimed that his original statement had been misconstrued, and that 'would' and 'could do' are very different concepts.

"Exactly what I said is this: If I could make over a billion dollars before, I could do it again," he said.

"If I chose to get in the UFC and fight three fights or fight four fights and then fight Conor McGregor, I could make a billion dollars. Which I can. I could do it in three fights or even four fights - I could make a billion dollars. If I choose to get in the Octagon and fight.

"I'm just saying I could. I'm not going to do it. I'm just saying what I could do to make a billion dollars quick, if I wanted to do that. But I never said I was going to fight in the UFC. I didn't say that. If I wanted to, I could do. Would and could do is different things. I'm not going to do it though."

Of course, it didn't exactly take Conor McGregor long to butt in, needing only one word to do so.

The outspoken Irish fighter posted a photo of himself with his two UFC belts to Instagram, captioning the post with 'Pussy'.

He was beaten by Mayweather by TKO in a Las Vegas fight back in August - though that didn't stop him from making a good wad out of it. After losing, he announced plans to chill on a yacht for a bit and release his own brand of whiskey called Notorious.

He definitely went for it, sharing posts on Instagram of a long period of sheer gluttony - showing off his 'wealth belly', which he referred to as 'the new six-pack'.

It obviously gave him plenty of time to stockpile some comebacks for his opponents, like this solid one-worder that's a classic in the school yard for a reason. Usually comes with a punch in the arm, though we guess Insta's not quite got that technology sorted yet.
